On Sunday, August 30th, All Elite Wrestling returned to Wembley Stadium in London, England, for its biggest show of the year, “All In.” This was the fourth annual All In event, and the fifth overall. This marked AEW’s return to Wembley for the first time since 2024, as the event was held in Arlington, TX, in 2025. The main event of this year’s All In show saw the winner of the 2026 Men’s Owen Hart Cup, Will Ospreay, challenging Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship. This is a match that is largely considered a dream match for wrestling fans. Spoiler alert: fans were not disappointed.

We also saw Willow Nightingale put her AEW Women’s World Championship on the line against the 2026 Women’s Owen Hart Cup winner, Mercedes Mone, Kyle Fletcher put his AEW International Championship on the line against Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada in a three-way match, Kevin Knight put the AEW TNT Championship on the line against Darby Allin in a Falls Count Anywhere match, Christian Cage & Adam Copeland put their AEW World Tag Team Championships on the line against the Young Bucks, and so much more. So, what were the top three moments of the show?

3. Steven Borden & Sting Make The Save, Darby Allin Captures Gold

A big match heading into AEW All In was the match that saw Kevin Knight put his AEW TNT Championship on the line against one of his former best friends, Darby Allin. This was not just any match, though; things got very personal between the two men. They needed to find a stipulation that would contain them and let them vent all the anger they had toward each other. What better type of match to do that than a Falls Count Anywhere match? This match lived up to the hype and then some. This match went all over the arena and saw some amazing hardcore action between the two former friends.

Things really escalated when Kevin Knight’s friends, Brian Cage and Jake Doyle, made their way down to the ring to help Knight. Darby tried his hardest but had no answer for the numbers game. This drew out Steven Borden, who is a friend of Darby’s due to Darby and his father Sting’s relationship. Steven Borden proved to be no match as Brian Cage made some light work of him. However, the numbers game was finally no more when the lights went out, and The Icon’s music hit. Sting marched down to the ring with his black baseball bat and played the ultimate equalizer. We got a great moment where Sting began climbing a ladder to jump outside of the ring onto Cage and Doyle. However, his son met him at the top and, in a nice passing-of-the-torch moment, said, “I got it,” causing his father to climb down.

Steven Borden jumped from the top of the ladder to the outside, taking out both Cage and Doyle. Then, Sting and his son, Steven Borden, fought Cage and Doyle to the back, making this a one-on-one match. Ultimately, Allin and Knight fought their way to the top of the entrance ramp, where Darby hit a coffin drop from the stage onto Knight, crashing through the floor. As Knight was being stretchered out, Darby hit one final coffin drop and pinned him to win the AEW TNT Championship. From the opening bell to the last, this match was absolute cinema. It was wonderful getting to see Sting and his son side-by-side in a nice passing-of-the-torch moment.

2. It’s A New Level, Yes It Is!

In the final match of the pre-show, we saw a seven-team battle royale to crown the new AEW World Trios Champions. The match bled over into the main show, with one final team remaining to make their entrance. The match featured six of AEW’s best trios and one Wild Card trio. These trios included ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and Brodido, Bang Bang Gang, The Conglomeration, Death Riders, The Demand, and The Dogs. By the time the main show got underway, all but one team had entered. The Wild Card team turned out to be led by Swerve Strickland, who made his way down to the ring first.

Unfamiliar entrance music hit as “New Level” by FERG played. This marked the debut of New Level. Formerly known as The New Day, Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston are no more. Austin Creed and Kofi debuted on AEW’s biggest show of the year side-by-side with one of the best talents AEW has ever seen, Swerve. The trio got a massive ovation from the crowd at Wembley, to the surprise of nobody. We even saw some more Kofi magic. Kofi, who looked to have gotten eliminated, used his feet to stay off the ground and held onto the bottom rope. However, Pac kicked him, and he fell back onto the floor. With some help from Prince Nana, Kofi never got eliminated and wheelbarrowed his way back to the steel steps.

In the end, Creed and Kofi eliminated Pac and Claudio Castagnoli to win the match and the vacant AEW World Trios Championships. This is a very exciting trio that I’m very much looking forward to seeing how they develop and work together over time. Sure, it would have been awesome to see The Dogs finally get a good run; however, I can’t be mad at this. The New Level and Swerve Strickland are a match made in heaven. Seeing The New Day leave WWE will sting for many WWE fans, myself included, but The New Level helped to put a nice-sized bandage over that wound. The New Level is back and better than ever before. Plus, think of all the dream matches. A new chapter begins.

1. Will Ospreay and Mercedes Mone Claim Their Spots

    The first of two main event matches saw Willow Nightingale put her AEW Women’s Championship on the line against the 2026 Women’s Owen Hart Cup winner, Mercedes Mone. Mone, who has challenged for the AEW Women’s World Championship before, was never able to capture that title. She is a former TBS Champion, but she has yet to be able to win the big one. On the grandest stage in AEW, Mone had the opportunity to do just that. Willow Nightingale turned out to be one of Mone’s best rivals since hitting the independent scene and now AEW. More magic was expected to be made tonight at Wembley Stadium between the two.

    Willow and Mercedes had another heck of a showing at Wembley. Things took a turn when Willow pounced on Mercedes into the referee. Referee Aubrey was taken out with an apparent leg injury, leading Mercedes to spiral. Mone attacked Willow’s broken hand, really controlling this match at times. With the referee down, Willow attacked Mone with the Owen Hart Cup winner belt. In the end, Mercedes Mone forced Willow to tap out to the statement maker while targeting the broken hand. We have a brand new AEW Women’s World Champion. This may have been Mone’s best showing since coming to AEW. Fantastic match.

    The main event of the show saw Kenny Omega put his AEW World Championship on the line against the 2026 Men’s Owen Hart Cup winner, Will Ospreay. From the onset of the announcement, we knew that Omega vs. Ospreay was going to be a show-stealer. Since coming to AEW, many have said that Ospreay embodies AEW and everything it stands for. However, he has yet to hold the AEW World Championship. He was accompanied by his best friend, Callum Newman, to this match. We knew something was going to have to give. Would Ospreay capture the AEW World Championship from Omega, or would Omega’s reign of terror continue?

    From the entrances on, everything felt like a big deal. Will Ospreay walked past and had a stare-down with Michael Oku, Ricochet, Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis, Jon Moxley, and others, symbolizing all those who got him to this moment. This was a great touch by AEW. As for Omega, he was with the Young Bucks. This was going to be a generational match, and we knew that right away. After nearly 40 minutes, Ospreay held up a finger gun at Omega and connected with his hidden blade to win the match and the AEW World Championship. Ospreay is officially the first English wrestler to win a World Championship on British soil.

    So, there you have it. A show and matches for the history books. The two top titles for men and women each changed hands. Additionally, the landscape of AEW seemingly entered its next era. Will Ospreay is the right choice to lead the charge for All Elite Wrestling, specifically in the men’s division. It’s nice to see Mercedes have some major gold in AEW too. Hopefully this leads to her dropping it down the line to a more homegrown person. Nonetheless, amazing stuff.
