On Saturday, September 5th, the Wrestling World lost another great talent! Andy Williams, aka The Butcher, passed away at just 48 years old, after wrestling at an Enjoy Wrestling show at the Small’s Theater in Millvale, PA.

The Butcher (Andy Williams) was tagging along with his partner, The Blade, taking on TME, when Williams collapsed at the end of his match. His partner attempted to help him up, but Williams collapsed again, prompting emergency personnel to act quickly. Enjoy Wrestling ended its “Five-Year Anniversary” event early, with two scheduled matches remaining.

After the news of the medical emergency broke, many of Williams’ friends and fans took to social media to send their thoughts and prayers. Rumors quickly circulated online about Williams’ possible passing, and TMZ confirmed the unfortunate news a short while ago.

Williams was best known as the former rhythm guitarist of the band Every Time I Die and for his time wrestling in All Elite Wrestling, where he worked as one-half of the tag team The Butcher & The Blade. The Butcher began wrestling in 2016 on the Independent Wrestling circuit and continued up until his passing.

We at Turnbuckle Times would like to acknowledge Enjoy Wrestling and the medical personal for attending to Williams so quickly and for the way this heartbreaking event was handled. We also send our condolences to Andy Williams’ family & friends. RIP The Butcher!
