Tonight on Smackdown. Punk and Owens finally got tired of screaming at each other through microphones, so tonight we’re getting the inevitable plunder brawl. Honestly, putting No Holds Barred stips on these two is just asking for someone to go through the announce desk before the first commercial break. Owens has been working with an extra chip on his shoulder lately, totally unhinged and loving it, while Punk is in full “try me” mode. Don’t expect an all-time technical clinic here—this is pure spite, lots of weapon shots, and probably a messy finish that leaves both guys bleeding bruised pride heading toward Survivor Series.

Over in the women’s tag division, Michin and B-Fab put the belts on the line against Fatal Influence. The champs definitely have momentum, but Fallon Henley and Lainey Reed have been working like a well-oiled machine, and a title switch isn’t totally out of the question if things get chaotic. The entire division feels like it’s waiting for a match to drop into a powder keg right now, especially with everyone jockeying for screen time and WarGames just over the horizon.

Rounding things out, Nathan Frazer’s getting thrown in the deep end against Damian Priest. Frazer’s speed is always fun to watch, but against a dude Priest’s size, he’s probably in for a rough landing or two. Then you’ve got Nakamura vs. Tama Tonga, which basically translates to two veterans kicking the living daylights out of each other for ten minutes. Chuck in whatever fallout we’re getting from Sami Zayn’s title drama last week, and this should be a fun, breezy two hours of wrestling.
