On Friday, August 28th, Beyond Wrestling returned to Rhodes On The Pawtuxet in Cranston, RI, for their flagship show “Americanrana’ 26! The show delivered unforgettable moments and matches throughout! Let’s take a look at my Top 3 Moments from Americanrana:

3.) IWTV Independent Wrestling Tag Team Championship Fatal Four-Way Match: Bang And Matthews (Davey Bang & August Matthews) (c) vs Simply The Best (Brett Ryan Gosselin & Oxx Adams) vs SLADE & Charles Mason vs Simply The Best (Brett Ryan Gosselin & Oxx Adams) vs Bustah & The Brain (Alec Price & Jordan Oliver)

This match opened up the main card of the show on IWTV and set the tone for the entire night! All four tag teams are great, and they complemented each other nicely. Each team had their moments; however, Bustah & The Brain got their hands raised as the new champions, as the crowd went wild!

2.) IWTV Independent Wrestling World Championship No DQ Match: Mance Warner (c) vs Bobby Orlando

The No DQ stipulation for this match was announced at the start and was a pivotal part of the storytelling! It’s great to see Mance Warner as the IWTV Champion. There’s no doubt he deserves it and has done an amazing job elevating younger talent in the matches he has had so far as IWTV Champion!

Warner has had some awesome matches as champ, but this match was by far his best since winning the title back four plus months ago. He had a terrific partner in Bobby Orlando, and the two put on a classic!

In the end, Mance Warner retained, but the respect these two had for each other couldn’t be ignored! Warner, a huge student of the game, took the opportunity to get on the mic after the match to talk to the crowd. He talked up Bobby Orlando nicely and let him stay in the ring afterward to get a standing ovation from the crowd! This match reiterates everything I love about pro wrestling!

1.) Opportunity Knocks Contract Match: Marcus Mathers vs Dustin Waller

This match was the main event for a reason! These two are huge Independent Wrestling stars and put on a clinic! The match was over 30 minutes but never felt long at all. It was one of those matches you never want to see end!

Dustin Waller pulled out the victory but everyone were winners here! Marcus Mathers showcased why he is an elite wrestler, while the fans saw all the best wrestling has to offer in this match!

Notable Mention: Triple Threat Match: Brad Hollister vs Love Doug vs TJ Crawford

On a card that has fourteen matches, it’s extremely hard to pick out just three! So many matches delivered, and this match was no exception! This match is a true testament that, at times, long-term storytelling works great when you have the right stars. All three of these superstars have great chemistry and delivered a thriller of a match because of it!

Other Moments:

  • Shooter Boys cannot compete in Beyond Wrestling or Wrestling Open again with the loss to Stetson Ranch for the Wrestling Open Tag Team Titles!
  • Steph De Lander has a successful debut against Sloane Jacobs!
