The wait is over! AJ Lee made her anticipated return to the WWE tonight on SmackDown from the All State Arena in Chicago, IL. AJ Lee’s return to the WWE has always been a topic of conversation. The reality became more certain after WWE’s Clash In Paris PLE on Sunday!

In the final segment of the show. Seth Rollins appears in a suite box in the arena. He cut a promo on the crowd and CM Punk before introducing his wife, the Women’s International Champion, Becky Lynch.

Lynch riles the crowd up, talking about how everything and everyone in Chicago suck. CM Punk’s music played to the roar of the crowd. Once in the ring, Punk and Lynch picked up where they left off on Monday Night Raw. All while Rollins watched from the crowd.

Lynch began slapping and insulting Punk once again. Punk left the ring, saying he would never hit a woman but had women who could be called on to do it for him. He named some of the female talents in WWE. Then AJ’s music played, and the crowd went wild!

Lee returned to defend her husband and beat down Becky Lynch! Rollins attempted to come down from the crowd, but the damage was already done. The show ended with Punk and Lee standing tall while the heels retreating.

There is no word if this Mixed Tag Team Match will be a one-off. However, pictures circulated on social media shortly after the show, showing AJ Lee walking around with the Women’s International Title. Some speculate this might be the beginning of a longer-term feud with Lynch.

Only time will tell how long and in-depth Lee’s return will be. Lee looks great and like she hasn’t missed a beat. One thing is sure: no matter how extended her stay is, the WWE Universe is excited she is back!
