SvN: Soul Doubt Recap 06/14/25

Severe Violent Nature (SvN) returns to Los Angeles amidst chaos and riots, with not one but two action-packed deathmatch events at The Church in DTLA. Starting with Soul Doubt featuring commentary by Shlak and Kevin Gill.
Bestia 666 vs. Sefa Parisi
A unique opening match pits a member of La Familia, Bestia 666, against a representative of the Samoan Dynasty, Sefa Parisi. Bestia wastes no time, using his fast-paced lucha skills to keep Sefa on his toes. Sefa tries to overpower Bestia, but the strategy doesn’t pay off. Bestia takes to the top rope and lands a devastating drop, leaving Sefa unable to recover.
Winner: Bestia 666 defeats Sefa Parisi by pinfall
Slice Boogie vs. Phil Insane
This should be interesting as Slice Boogies is the Santino Bros Deathmatch Champion but he has very few scars, while Phil on the other hand is newer he’s building up quite a collection after facing a few ultraviolet legends. Slice grabs the mic before the match, hyping the crowd with a promo. The match begins with some brutal forearm exchanges, quickly escalating into a series of stiff chair shots. Phil Insane starts bleeding early, but the fight spills outside the ring, only to return with Phil clearly gassed. Despite his fatigue, Phil keeps pushing forward with power slams, but Slice Boogie refuses to stay down. Still, a devastating lariat from Phil Insane seals the victory.
Winner: Phil Insane defeats Slice Boogie by pinfall
Rob Shit vs. Journey Fatu
Rob Shit wants no part of Journey Fatu early on, trying to evade him outside the ring. Using an amphetamine like quickness Rob attacks Journey from the outside. Rob’s gameplay seems to be land a power move to stun Journey then runs around the ring to attack Journey from behind. However, Journey stays focused and delivers a punishing Rikishi Driver to counter one of Rob’s move. Rob attempts a counter, but Journey turns the tables with a Samoan backdrop right into a glass pane. Journey’s high-flying moonsault finishes things off.
Winner: Journey Fatu defeats Rob Shit by pinfall
Eric Ryan Open Challenge
The crowd erupts as King of the Deathmatches Eric Ryan makes his return, eagerly awaiting his mystery opponent. The tension builds as none other than Eric’s former tag partner and 44OH alumni, Bobby “The Bev” Beverly, answers the challenge. The two show mutual respect before locking up. The action is fast and furious, with a series of counters and strikes. Eric sets up a surprise by spreading Terracotta shards across the ring, adding an extra layer of danger. After a rapid exchange, Eric reverses a pin attempt from Bev, narrowly securing the victory with a quick count from the ref.
Winner: Eric Ryan defeats The Bev by pinfall
Hoodfoot (C) vs. Masada – SvN Ultraviolent Championship
The match begins with Hoodfoot sending Masada outside the ring, but a botched suicide dive gives Masada the upper hand. The two brawl with weapons, including a barbed wire baseball bat, and the match spills out of the arena. After a chaotic series of exchanges, Hoodfoot begins to rally, but a brutal baseball slide from Masada sends him flying over the guardrail. Hoodfoot recovers and takes a moment to exchange words with Shlak, leaving himself open for Masada capitalize. Despite an intense back-and-forth, Masada lands a series of devastating moves, ultimately pinning Hoodfoot to claim the Ultraviolent Championship.
Winner: Masada defeats Hoodfoot by pinfall to become SvN’s new Ultraviolent Champion.
Bloodfighter w/ Steven Jury vs. Los Compares (Aero Boy & Violento Jack)
In a high-octane tag team battle, Bloodfighter w/ Steven Jury face off against the high-flying duo of Aero Boy and Violento Jack. Surprisingly, Jury stays out of this one for the most part. The match starts with some slick mat wrestling and arm locks before it quickly escalates into light tube madness. At one point Dred and Colon take turns dismantling Aero Boy, but he fights back, making a crucial tag to Violento Jack. A chaotic sequence of moves leads to a wild light tube showdown, where Dred slams Aero Boy onto a chair, and Bloodfighter manages to pull out the win.
Winner: Bloodfighter w/ Steven Jury defeat Los Compares by pinfall
Show Stealers & Biggest News
Soul Doubt is full of memorable moments, but it’s clear that the main event steals the show. The biggest news of the night? Masada’s victory and subsequent crowning as the new Ultraviolent Champion. After being the longstanding face of SvN, Masada’s win feels like a well-deserved recognition, particularly with the departure of the Cogars. It’s a testament to this deathmatch veteran’s resilience, amidst a growing roster of hungry talent.
In other news, there seems to be tension brewing between Hoodfoot and Shlak not sure if bad blood is resurfacing from the old XPW/ICW rivalry from years ago, but I’d like to see a story come from it. Especially since Shlak’s last rivalry against The Bev fizzled out after the tag team match between Faces of Death and H8 Club.
Eric Ryan and The Bev have seemed to put the final nail in the 44OH sage by competing in a match against each other. Nearly all of the former 44OH members have squared off at this point with the stable disbanding except these two. Eric Ryan has mostly been MIA since the stable dissolved, while Bev feuded with the Cogars for variety of matches. With this last match out of the way I think both Ryan and Bev are looking to find there place among the various promotions likely as top deathmatch contenders in the singles. But, who knows there doesn’t seem to be bad blood so maybe there’s a chance we’ll see them bring back their old tag team The Young Studs.
This has been Soul Doubt, stay tuned for more intense action when SvN returns later today with SvN Days A Week.
