On June 9th, Wrestling Open RI gave us another exciting night of action from the Rhodes On The Pawtuxet in Cranston, RI. The show streamed on IWTV.

Seven matches were scheduled for the show, including an IWTV Championship Match between champion Marcus Mathers and challenger BRG!

Here are the results from the show:

Showcase Match: Eye Black Jack defeats JGeorge with a Rock Bottom for the pinfall.

1.) IWTV World Championship Match: Marcus Mathers defeats BRG by pinfall to retain his championship.

2.) Nick Battee defeats Cappuccino Jones with a Leg Drop to his back to pick up the pinfall.

3.) Love, Doug defeats Sam Holloway with a Slice Of Love for the pinfall.

4.) Bobby Orlando (w/Bobby Jr.) defeats GAL by DQ due to interference from Nick Battee.

* After the match, GAL grabbed a mic and cut a promo on Orlando, challenging him to find a partner to go up against Battee and him.

Beyond Wrestling’s owner, Drew Cordeiro promotes Thursday’s match between TJ Crawford and Bryce Donovan for the Wrestling Open Championship.

5.) TJ Crawford defeats Ice Williams with his finisher for the pinfall.

6.) Dustin Waller defeats Anthony Greene with Ichiban’s finisher for the pinfall.

7.) Handicap Match: Brando Lee & Shooter Boys (Anthony Vecchio & Aaron Ortiz) defeated Bryce Donovan, Vinny Scalice, Jariel Rivera, & Mark Sterling; Lee pinned Sterling with a rollup.

* After the match, Brando Lee grabbed a mic and challenged Bryce Donovan next Monday, regardless of whether he’s champion after this Thursday against Crawford.

It appeared Donovan wasn’t interested. However, Mark Sterling accepted on his behalf. Donovan stares at Sterling as the show goes off the air.
