TNA iMPACT 8/7/26 Results
Welcome back wrestling fans, there was a great night of wrestling on AMC last night on Total Nonstop Action.
Up first was 1 half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions, Matt Hardy, accompanied by his brother Jeff Hardy (the other half of the tag champs), defeating Ryan Nemeth, accompanied by HIS Brother Nick Nemeth. This has big match implications because both sets of brothers will have a major tag match in a steel cage at TNA Lockdown!
Knockouts Champion Xia Brookside states backstage that she will not let Wendy Choo beat her tonight and take the title away from TNA. Elayna Black shows up, to which Brookside gave her a warning.
New TNA International Champion Jason Hotch celebrated with his family backstage. He then talked about what the win and title meant to him, and Rich Swann and BDE congratulated him on the victory.
Next was another quarterfinals match for the new Knockouts Television Title. A major bout between Mara Sade and Heather by Elegance took place, and Heather was able to pick up the win over Sade and advance in the tournament to fight Jada Stone next!
Moose challenged Frankie Kazarian to a singles match at Lockdown.
Mustafa Ali finds Jason Hotch’s family and sits down with them to tell them that he may be proud of Hotch, but he is going to get that title back no matter what…
KC Navarro vs. Brian Myers (w/Bear Bronson) was a mess of interference. Starting with Bear Bronson getting involved and thus being ejected from the match, Bronson was very “resistant” to leaving, so Ricky Sosa “encouraged” him to leave via steel chair. Then another member of the system wanted to help his teammate illegally, so Eddie Edwards broke up the match and got his friend Brian Myers disqualified; therefore, KC Navarro picked up the win. But that wasn’t the end of it. Fabian Aichner came to help Navarro from the ensuing beatdown, so Director of Authority Santino Marella announced that the match would restart as a tag match!
After a grueling match, Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers beat Aichner and Navarro, and while surrounded by System members, Ricky Sosa comes to save them with a chair, and the System has no choice but to flee.
TNA Injury Report Time!!!
Hotch tries to take out Mustafa backstage, and Ali asks for a match for the International Title at Lockdown. Hotch says he is done with Order 4 and tries to recruit Skylar to his side, but he refuses.
On the way to the ring, the Rightous give a fistbump to the Hardys as a sign of respect. In the ring, The Rightous talk about how the lake of reincarnation helped reshape them for the future and how they are not looking for more opponents but are trying to find people they can help bloom as they did to the Hardys.
Santino Marella does not want to have to terminate Harley Hudson’s contract, but he tells her she needs to put in some work and get some wins so that she won’t be fired. Alisha Edwards ends up interrupting, and a match between her and Hudson is proposed.
Allie cannot find her tag team partner and co-champion, Rosemary.
AJ Francis gets off some powerful moves on The Home Town Man at the beginning of their match, but then Elijah interrupts and points his guitar at Francis, which distracts him long enough for Home Town Man to recover and score a roll-up pin.
Cedric Alexander is speaking to Tom Hannifin, and Leon Slater joins them and believes he deserves a title shot since he pinned Alexander last week, and Cedric says that he will never let Slater touch his title again.
Frankie Kazarian meets with Daria Rae to tell her that he’ll do the match against Moose for her and under his terms, and he will choose an Escape the Cage match at Lockdown.
Wendy Choo is looking to be the 4th NXT woman to win the Knockouts World Title, but Xia Brookside won’t go down easy, and she is able to win with a Darkside. Elayna Black won’t let Brookside have her moment, and they have a face-off with the title between them.
The final segment of the night was the contract signing between Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy and TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth. It was not in the ring, though; it was backstage in Jeff Hardy’s changing room, presumably, and Jeff is just sitting on his couch painting something while Nic Nemeth talks to him. Inevitably, they both sign the contract, and the night comes to an unsettling close.
