SmackDown 9/26 Preview
SmackDown is back this Friday night on USA Network. It’s bringing a loaded card with it — including a Women’s Championship match that’s been weeks in the making. After originally being advertised for Wrestlepalooza but ultimately bumped to this week’s show. Tiffany Stratton will finally defend her title against both Jade Cargill and Nia Jax in a Triple Threat match. There’s a lot of bad blood here. Stratton and Cargill couldn’t settle things last week after their match ended in a double count-out. Now with Jax added to the mix, things are bound to get wild. Don’t expect a clean fight. Expect chaos, power moves, and a champ who may need to get creative to walk out still holding gold.
Also announced for Friday night is a tag team match featuring some newer alliances in the women’s division. Michin & B-Fab will team up to take on Giulia & Kiana James, and there’s been some buzz about this one building behind the scenes. Giulia’s been on a hot streak since arriving in WWE, and teaming her up with the crafty Kiana James could be a problem for their opponents. But Michin and B-Fab have a lot to prove and have been teasing a more aggressive attitude lately. This match could be a dark horse highlight of the night.
Outside the ring, the fallout from Wrestlepalooza is expected to continue. Superstars like Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Charlotte Flair, and Sami Zayn are all advertised to appear, and with Crown Jewel around the corner, there’s potential for new storylines, title challengers, and maybe even a surprise return or two. Whether you’re watching for the in-ring action or the drama, this episode of SmackDown looks like it’ll deliver plenty of both.
