TNA heads to San Antonio for a live edition of Thursday Night iMPACT!, and there is already plenty on the line before the show even gets underway. The biggest match of the night could be the TNA International Championship Triple Threat, with Mustafa Ali defending against Trey Miguel and Jason Hotch. Ali’s return is a major part of the story here after his recent injury, and he is stepping right back into a championship defense against two challengers with plenty of motivation of their own. Miguel has history with Ali and wants another opportunity at the title, while Hotch has made it clear that he believes he belongs in the International Championship picture. With three wrestlers involved, Ali won’t have the luxury of focusing on just one opponent, which could make this a chaotic title fight.

The rest of the card gives the San Antonio crowd several different stories to follow. Elijah takes on Eddie Edwards in singles action, while Rich Swann and BDE face The Righteous in tag-team competition. Swann’s match also carries some extra importance considering the current X-Division picture and his recent run toward a championship opportunity. The Knockouts division will also be represented in a four-way match to determine a future challenger for the Knockouts TV Championship, with Elayna Black, Jada Stone, Harley Hudson and Gabby Forza all looking for the same opportunity. With Bound for Glory coming up on October 11, every win matters a little more as TNA begins putting the pieces together for its biggest show of the year.

Then there is The Hardys, who have a very different kind of business to handle. Matt and Jeff Hardy are scheduled to call out the mystery attackers who have been targeting them and other members of the TNA locker room. That segment could end up being one of the most unpredictable moments of the night, especially if the people behind the attacks finally decide to reveal themselves. TNA is also making this a major live event in San Antonio, with the September 24 show airing live on AMC, AMC+ and TNA+, before the company returns for a second night at the Boeing Center at Tech Port. Between Ali’s return, multiple championship-related stories and the mystery surrounding the attacks on The Hardys, TNA has plenty of moving parts heading into Thursday night.
