Matt Cardona has officially signed with WWE! Cardona returned on WWE SmackDown tonight in a match against Kit Wilson! Commentator Michael Cole announced during the match that SmackDown GM Nick Aldis officially signed him to the roster.

Cardona made a special appearance in 2025 with WWE for a one-off match in John Cena’s “Last Time Is Now” tournament. He also made several appearances on NXT and TNA that same year!

Cardona initially wrestled in WWE under the ring name Zack Ryder from 2005-2020. Since leaving WWE in 2020, Cardona has become one of the biggest Independent Wrestling stars, earning the nickname The Indy God!
