Brock Lesnar Signals Possible Retirement At WrestleMania 42
WWE wasted no time kicking off night 2 in a big way. The opening match was a battle of two giants, Brock Lesnar vs Oba Femi. It wasn’t a long match, but it was physical! Femi pinned Lesnar in under five minutes to secure the biggest victory in his young career!
The bigger storyline happened after the match when Brock Lesnar took off his gear and left it in the center of the ring, a usual sign of retirement from a professional wrestler! Lesnar was holding back tears, and he hugged Paul Heyman, who was in his corner at ringside.
It was an emotional send-off as the crowd thanked Lesnar with the chants “Thank You, Brock” and “Thank You, Lesnar!” Lesnar took it all in as he was high-fiving fans at ringside on his way up the ramp to the back.
No official announcement has been made yet, but rumors have been circulating about “The Beast’s” possible retirement and who his opponent would be in the near future. If this was his retirement match, it was well done and fitting by the WWE and Lesnar.
Lesnar showcased the time-honored tradition of professional wrestling! Ending your career on your back while passing the torch to someone else. Oba Femi fits that bill. He has the size, strength, and agility, all the things Lesnar has showcased in his historic career!
Congratulations to Oba Femi on his huge WrestleMania victory and moment! Also, “Thank You Lesnar,” if this was your last match!
