Benjamin “PAC” Satterley Passes Away At The Age Of 40
The wrestling world this morning mourns the loss of another young and incredible talent! Benjamin Satterley, better known as AEW PAC, died suddenly yesterday at only 40 years old. All Elite Wrestling posted the sad news on its X account last night.
A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004, performing worldwide. Before signing with AEW in 2019, Satterley wrestled for WWE’s NXT brand in 2012 under the ring name Adrian Neville. He later joined the main WWE roster as Neville from 2015 to 2018. During his time with the company, he was an NXT Champion and a two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion!
After leaving the WWE in 2018, Satterley wrestled for the Japanese promotion Dragon Gate before signing with AEW in 2019, where he wrestled under the name “PAC” until his passing. His final match was at AEW’s All-Out this past Saturday in Chicago, IL. He took on Andrade El Idolo for Idolo’s AEW National Championship in a tough but losing effort. His last appearance was at the main event of the same card, when he interfered on Jon Moxley’s and The Death Rider’s behalf.
During his tenure at All Elite Wrestling, he was the Inaugural AEW International Champion and a two-time AEW Trios Champion. In a wrestling world filled with big guys, what Satterley lacked in size, he made up for with his explosive speed and power! He made flips and high-flying moves look effortless! Satterley was an incredible talent and will be truly missed.
No official cause of death was given at this time. We will keep you posted as updates become available. All of us at Turnbuckle Times send our condolences to Benjamin Satterley’s family and friends. RIP Benjamin
