Dominik Mysterio continues to be one of the talking points this week in wrestling! Mysterio injured his right shoulder in the Main Event of AAA Guerra de Titanes on December 20th.

The injury appears to have happened during a spot in the match where Dominik took a spike DDT from his father, Rey Mysterio. Dominik finished the match but seemed to be in pain for the remainder of the match.

Since the match, WWE hasn’t confirmed the severity of the injury or how long Dominik might be limited or potentially out. Reports indicate that Mysterio is being checked out, but the prognosis remains a mystery.

Shoulder injuries can be tricky. Suppose it’s a separated shoulder, which is the initial indication. The length of time out ranges from a minimum amount to several months if surgery is needed. Insiders are suggesting the company is preparing backup plans, just in case.

The injury happened at an inopportune time! Dominik is the Intercontinental Champion and part of a major storyline with the Judgement Day and a returning Liv Morgan. Plus, the road to WrestleMania 42 begins at the Royal Rumble in January!

The WWE is currently airing taped episodes of Raw and SmackDown for the rest of the year due to the holiday break. So WWE may only provide more news and updates closer to the new year.

We at Turnbuckle Times wish Dominik Mysterio a speedy recovery and will keep you posted with any updates that become available.
