On Friday, March 14th, TNA Wrestling returned to El Paso, TX for its big event, “Sacrifice.” The show streamed live on TrillerTV+ and TNA+ and came to local fans live from the El Paso County Coliseum. The event was headlined by a massive 10-Man Tag Team Steel Cage match. On one side, we saw Matt Hardy, Leon Slater, Nic Nemeth, Elijah, and the TNA World Champion, Joe Hendry. On the other side, we saw The System’s JDC, Brian Myers, and Eddie Edwards join forces with The Colons, Eddie and Orlando Colon.

We also saw Mance Warner take on Sami Callihan in a Street Fight, Tessa Blanchard take on Lei Ying Lee, The Rascalz and Ace Austin team up to face NXT’s Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont, Spitfire defend their Knockouts Tag Team Championships against Heather and Ash By Elegance, Mustafa Ali go one-on-one with Mike Santana, Masha Slamovich defend the TNA Knockouts Championship against NXT’s Cora Jade, and Moose defend the TNA X-Division Championship against one half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions, Jeff Hardy in a ladder match. So, what were the top three moments of the show?

3.) NXT’s Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson Make Their Presence Felt

In one of the night’s marquee match-ups, we saw Spitfire, Dani Luna & Jody Threat defend their TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships against Heather By Elegance, Ash By Elegance, and their Personal Concierge. In a shocking upset, we saw Spitfire’s reign as TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions end as Heather By Elegance and Ash By Elegance dethroned them. Ash By Elegance pinned Threat to win both her and Heather’s first championships in TNA history. While this was a big moment to begin with, another big moment happened at the conclusion of the match.

NXT’s Meta Girls, Lash Legend, and Jakara Jackson’s entrance music hit, and they came out to the top of the entranceway with the fans going crazy. Legend and Jackson quickly made their intentions known as they eyed up the brand new TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions. It became apparent that Legend and Jackson could be on a collision course with Ash By Elegance and Heather By Elegance for the top prize in the TNA Knockouts tag team division.

This adds a great deal to the TNA/WWE NXT partnership. Legend and Jackson have been one of the best women’s tag teams that the WWE has ever seen, and they’re still so young. They are still very young on NXT and already have achieved a great deal. While they’re still on NXT, they’ve been getting to showcase their talents on various main roster shows. Now, we get to see Legend and Jackson go after one of the top women’s tag teams in TNA for their first chance at some Knockouts tag team gold.

2.) Masha Slamovich defends the TNA Knockout’s Championship against NXT’s Cora Jade

In perhaps one of the biggest and best matches of the night, we saw Masha Slamovich put the TNA Knockouts Championship on the line against one of NXT’s top stars in the women’s division, Cora Jade. Slamovich and Jade had one of the best matches of the night by far. Both women truly left everything they had in the middle of the ring, and both women showed they wanted to be the top Knockout for TNA. Ultimately, only one of them was able to win, and that win came from Slamovich.

Jade looked to make history for TNA on Friday night and become the first WWE star to hold a TNA championship. However, she knew she had a tall task in front of her going up against arguably one of the best women’s wrestlers TNA has ever seen in Slamovich. The NXTNA liaison, Ariana Grace, joined the commentary team for the match, which helped to hype up the importance of this match all that much more. One of the coolest moments of the match saw Jade hit a Canadian Destroyer on Slamovich on the ring apron. Ultimately, Jade fell to Slamovich when Slamovich hit a spinning heel kick followed by her finishing move, the Requiem.

This just further cemented the WWE and TNA partnership. A mere five years ago, this was something that many thought would be completely out of the question. Fast forward to 2025, Moose is showing up on NXT to face Oba Femi, and Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson crossed the line from NXT to the Impact Zone, and an NXT star fought a TNA start for the top prize in the Knockouts division. The sky is truly the limit for this partnership and if Sacrifice showed us anything, it’s off to a fantastic start.

1.) Nic Nemeth Shows His True Colors

In the main event of the night, we saw Matt Hardy, Leon Slater, the TNA World Champion Joe Hendry, Elijah, and Nic Nemeth try and take down The System’s JDC, Brian Myers, and Eddie Edwards, and The Colons, Eddie and Orlando Colon, inside of a Steel Cage. This was a brutal and hard-hitting match to the very end. Ultimately, after everyone on Matt Hardy’s team had punished JDC, Hardy pinned JDC to win the match for his team. However, perhaps what was the night’s biggest moment came right after when Ryan Nemeth locked the cage door.

With Slater, Hendry, and Elijah making their way out of the cage, Ryan Nemeth came back inside to “celebrate” with his big brother, Nic Nemeth. However, the rest of the team got a little unsettled when they saw Ryan Nemeth locking the cage shut. What happened next was an onslaught courtesy of a very mad, angry, and just overall frustrated, Nic Nemeth. Nic Nemeth destroyed Hardy as Sacrifice went off the air. He busted him up bad. What started with a Danger Zone ended with Nemeth grating Hardy’s face on the Steel Cage.

It made sense that in his initial debut, you couldn’t have Nic Nemeth be a heel. However, this was a great turn for TNA. Nemeth is back to his roots and, more importantly, back to his dark side. It seems like we will see a little bit of a story between Nic Nemeth and Matt Hardy, which could very well evolve into a “Brothers vs. Brothers” type of match. However, we could very well see Nic Nemeth look to reclaim the TNA World Championship which he lost to Hendry and ultimately started this whole turn.
