AEW heads into the final stop before All Out tonight with a loaded three-hour Dynamite/Collision special from the Fishers Event Center in Indianapolis, and the timing could make this one especially important. The biggest story is the AEW World Championship picture, with Will Ospreay teaming with “Speedball” Mike Bailey against Death Riders’ Gabe Kidd and Claudio Castagnoli. Ospreay is only days away from defending the world title against Jon Moxley at All Out, so sharing the ring with two members of Moxley’s group gives the champion one last chance to make a statement before Chicago. Moxley will also be in action against Dezmond Xavier in a Continental Championship Eliminator match, which means there’s a good chance the World Champion and his challenger will be circling each other before the night is over.

The AEW World Trios Championship will also be on the line, with Swerve Strickland, Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed defending against The Demand’s Ricochet, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona. There’s plenty of history behind this one, as The Demand has been looking to get back to the top of the trios division after losing the championships earlier in the year. The timing makes the match even more interesting because Hangman Adam Page and Brodido are waiting for the winners at All Out. Meanwhile, Persephone puts the TBS Championship on the line against Hyan, who accepted the open challenge with her regular tag-team partner Maya World sidelined by injury.

Beyond the matches, tonight is really about setting the tone for Saturday. The Brawling Birds and Divine Dominion will have a face-to-face confrontation ahead of their Chicago Street Fight for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship, giving both teams one final opportunity to get inside the other’s head before the weapons come out at All Out. With two championship matches, Ospreay and Moxley both wrestling, and several major rivalries getting one last push, AEW has a lot to accomplish in three hours. The key question isn’t simply whether tonight delivers good matches—it’s whether AEW can leave Indianapolis with fans feeling like they absolutely need to see what happens in Chicago on Saturday.
