Top 3 Moments of WWE Night Of Champions 2026
On Saturday, June 27th, WWE returned to the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for its big event, “Night Of Champions.” The event was headlined by Cody Rhodes putting the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Sami Zayn and Gunther in a nearly 20-minute war. However, this only capped off what was just an outright incredible show. We also saw the King of the Ring finals take place, as Oba Femi battled Jey Uso. Also, the Queen of the Ring finals took place as Iyo Sky battled the Women’s World Champion, Liv Morgan. The rightful winner would punch their ticket to Summerslam to take on a champion of their choosing.
We also saw Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker’s personal rivalry come to a head inside a Steel Cage. Also, Trick Williams, accompanied by Lil Yachty, put his United States Championship on the line against Ricky Saints. This was a match that featured two of WWE’s best young guns going at it. To cap it all off, Tiffany Stratton put her Women’s United States Championship on the line against Jade Cargill in a rematch from WrestleMania. So, what were the top three moments of the night?
3. Seth Rollins Gets The Upper Hand Against Bron Breakker
All the way back in April of 2025, Paul Heyman, Seth Rollins, and Bron Breakker first joined an alliance, now we know as The Vision. Over the year, The Vision would drastically change to include the likes of Austin Theory, Logan Paul, and of course, Bronson Reed. While Reed has been out injured, Breakker, Theory, and Paul have been holding down the fort. The major change between The Vision we saw when introduced and the current version is the subtraction of Seth Rollins. Rollins was the man who started The Vision. Breakker and Reed turned on him. They took him out in October and sent him home to regroup, putting his WrestleMania plans in jeopardy.
Rollins made his defiant return and immediately set out to destroy the very faction he created. Things really heated up at WrestleMania 42 as Breakker made his return from injury and cost Rollins his match with Gunther. This made things very personal, and since then, Rollins has had one goal in mind: to beat Breakker. While it remains to be seen if this Steel Cage match did indeed settle the rivalry, it certainly felt like the final chapter of Rollins vs. Breakker. Fans weren’t disappointed either as the two men went on for nearly 20 minutes in what can only be described as a war.
Rollins and Breakker truly battled each other inside a Steel Cage. This was a battle from the very start. From the beginning, Rollins loaded the structure with a ton of weaponry, showing how far he was willing to go to end things. We saw everything in this one. Breakker bled a lot in this one. In the end, Rollins hit a stomp off the second rope to defeat Breakker. While it remains to be seen where either man goes from here, one thing we know for sure is that this seemed like the perfect ending to one of RAW’s most fun rivalries of the year.
2. The King & Queen Of The Ring Are Crowned
The main reason behind the show was also to crown the 2026 King & Queen of the Rings. The opening match of the night saw Oba Femi square off with Jey Uso to crown the King of the Ring for 2026. Femi defeated the likes of Penta, Solo Sikoa, Carmelo Hayes, and Dominik Mysterio. As for Jey Uso, he defeated LA Knight, Royce Keys, Finn Balor, and Je’Von Evans. This may have been one of Femi’s longest matches since being called up to the main roster. That’s an interesting note, especially since he worked with Jey Uso. Nonetheless, the two killed it. In the end, after just under eight minutes, Femi hit a Fall From Grace to pin Jey and win the match. Thus, Femi punched his ticket for a championship opportunity at SummerSlam just over a month away.
The very following match saw the 2026 Queen of the Ring finals take place. Iyo Sky battled the Women’s World Champion, Liv Morgan, for the crown. Sky defeated the likes of Roxanne Perez, Giulia, Lash Legend, and Raquel Rodriguez. As for Liv, she knocked off Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Chelsea Green, and Charlotte Flair. The two women went for nearly 15 minutes to earn their shot at the crown. It even looked as if Sky hurt her knee in this one, but thankfully, she was okay. In the end, Iyo Sky hit her Over The Moonsault to win the match. After the match, Iyo Sky immediately called out Morgan for SummerSlam.
So, our first SummerSlam match is set. We will see Sky battling Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship. As for Femi, that’s where things get certainly interesting. Femi is tied 1-1 with Brock Lesnar, so you’d think he has to settle that score at SummerSlam. Now, he also has a date with either Sami Zayn or Roman Reigns at the same event. Could we see Femi do double duty at SummerSlam? It’s certainly very possible. One thing we know for sure is that this year’s SummerSlam is truly shaping up to be one of the biggest in recent memory.
1. Sami Zayn Captures The Undisputed WWE Championship
In the main event of today’s big show, Cody Rhodes put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Sami Zayn and Gunther. In a rivalry that started as just Gunther vs. Cody, we saw Zayn find his way into the match. After Gunther defeated Rollins at WrestleMania, Heyman indeed owed him a favor. The favor turned out to be a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship. Something tells me that plans may have changed, but plans changed when Femi got insanely popular. Now, Femi more than likely gets Lesnar at SummerSlam, which ultimately could have been the original favor for Gunther.
Nonetheless, Gunther cashed in his favor at Clash in Italy back in May. He lost, albeit somewhat controversially. Fast forward to June 19th, when Gunther got his rematch, Zayn put himself as the special guest referee. Zayn did a fast count, and Gunther lost. Cody Rhodes ultimately decided to try and clean up this whole mess once and for all by getting both Gunther and Zayn in a three-way. Little did Rhodes know that Zayn in Saudi Arabia is a whole different beast. Overall, this was a fantastic main event for a rather decent show in Saudi Arabia.
All three men in this match really took the fight to one another. Zayn battled Gunther, Gunther battled Rhodes, and Rhodes battled Zayn, and vice versa. In one of the most shocking moments in WWE history, Rhodes hit a Cody Cutter on Gunther and attempted the Cross Rhodes on Zayn. However, Zayn had him scouted and rolled up Cody to win the match and the title. Truly one of the most shocking moments in WWE history. The pop Zayn was welcomed with after his match, speaks for itself. With SummerSlam right around the corner, it should be fascinating to see where things go. One thing we know is that Zayn is your new Undisputed WWE Champion. A moment that nobody saw coming.
