AEW Dynamite Spring BreakThru Results – 4/15/26
AEW Dynamite aired live on TBS in Everett, Washington, at the Angel Of The Winds Arena. The show started with an interview with MJF by Renee Paquette. MJF was unaware that Darby Allin wanted to challenge for the AEW World Championship tonight in Everett, so he ran to the ring to call off the match. Retired wrestler-turned-announcer Bryan Danielson told both Darby and MJF that they will have to wrestle, but not yet. They will wrestle in the main event of Spring BreakThru!
Kenny Omega is seen backstage, obviously still upset over his loss to MJF at Dynasty. He and Will Ospreay talked while fighting back tears; it seems they might be working together to win the titles they desire. Next was the first match of the night between Tommaso Ciampa and Desmond Xavier. Xavier put up quite a fight for the Psycho Killer but was ultimately defeated. Ciampa called his shot for the AEW World Championship.
The “Top Guys” FTR came out to insult the crowd and show just how dominant they are as champions. They claim they can never be beaten and refer to themselves as Goliath of the bible. Next, a scheduled match for the TNT Championship with new champion Kevin Knight facing the Death Riders’ own Claudio Castagnoli. Kevin Knight was able to win by pinfall in his first title defense. He picked up the mic and celebrated his new title, and called out the opportunity to beat the winner of MJF and Darby.
Second Hour-
Renee Paquette came to the ring to talk with returning Legend Chris Jericho after his loss to Ricochet at Dynasty. Ricochet decides to interrupt Jericho, and he and Gates of Agony take Jericho out and promise it will happen weekly if he doesn’t quit. Cut backstage last Sunday at Dynasty, and we see Okada and Konosuke Takeshita have a verbal altercation. Will Ospreay walks to the ring looking oddly focused, and Don Calis announces the man that will be facing Ospreay, Hechicero. Marina Shafir of The Death Riders is watching the whole match, even when they need to pause the match so Will can get checked out by Doc Samson. Ospreay picks up the win, but Mark Davis of the Don Calis Family attacks Ospreay from behind.
Thekla talks about how she defeated Jamie Hayter and makes fun of the women’s roster of AEW. Alex Windsor comes to confront Thekla and demand a match she also makes fun of the fact that Thekla got fired from NJPW. Windsor stops the Sisters of Sin from attacking her and tries to chase down Thekla. And speaking of the women’s roster, next was a match between returning Kamille and the TBS Champion Willow Nightingale. Willow steals the pin to retain, which she’s doing much more often now.
Now time for the heavily anticipated main event. Darby is greeted by his mentor, Sting, who tells him to go get what he deserves and that it’s Darby’s time. Darby Allin’s entrance had all the fans cheering for him. But the minute MJF’s music was played, he was met with a chorus of boo’s. Nonstop Darby chants. Within a minute of the match beginning, MJF already applied a low blow, but Darby gave him a taste of his own medicine. Then Darby hits a Scorpion Death Drop into 4 consecutive Coffin Drops and a headlock takeover to pin the now former champion, MJF. AND NEW AEW WORLD CHAMPION DARBY ALLIN IS THE EVER-DESERVING WINNER AFTER 7 YEARS! The show ends with a heartfelt celebration with the locker room and with his mentor, Sting. CONGRATULATIONS, DARBY ALLIN!
