Spotlight Match; Georgio Lawerence defeats CPA via pinfall.
The Shooter Boys defeat The Rude and Lawless Residency in a 2 out of 3 falls match
Tonight’s opening match was a 2 out of 3 falls match between The Shooter Boys, Aaron Ortiz and Anthony Vecchio, v. The Rude and Lawless Residency, RJ Rude and Rex Lawless. RJ Rude pins Anthony Vecchio to get the first pinfall of the match. Shooter Boys pin Rex Lawless after a rear view off the top rope to even the playing field with one pin a piece. With both teams going back and forth for the upper hand, after 14 minutes and 37 seconds, your winner, making the last pin of the match The Shooter Boys!
Brett Ryan Gosselin defeats Brett Metro
Next up was “BRG” Brett Ryan Gosselin v “Teal Steel” Brett Metro. Coming into this match Brett Metro has been on a steady come up since his debut. However, he unfortunately came up short in tonight’s match as Brett Metro took the pin, leaving BRG to walk away in sweet victory.
Bobby Orlando defeats JGeorge
Lights, Camera, ACTION; as JGeorge and Our Mom Bobby Orland square off in the next bout. Both men were quite evenly matched throughout but Bobby Orlando took the win tonight with a sick trick cutter. This move allowed him to land the pin on JGeorge.
After the match Bobby Orlando addresses the Wrestling Open faithful and his former tag team partner, Bryce Donovan. He informs us all that he’d be keeping a close eye on tonight’s Main Event between Bryce and the Champion “Fancy” Ryan Clancy.
Brad Baylor defeats Jaylen Brandyn
This next match had a stipulation added. If Jaylen Brandyn could defeat Brad Baylor, he and Traevon Jordan would earn the opportunity to compete against Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes for the Wrestling Open Tag Team Championships.
With a big feat ahead of him, and the crowd fully behind the “Waves” of Waves and Curls, Jaylen started out strong. However, it soon became a battle for the upper hand. After a bit of back and forth exchange Jaylen Brandyn hoists Brad Baylor onto his shoulders to set up for the finish. But with the referee behind the two competitors, Brad Baylor rakes his fingers at the eyes of Jaylen. Brandyn then drops Brad and consistently blinks to regain his eye sight. Baylor takes advantage and rolls up Jaylen Brandyn for the win.
After the final bell Baylor begins attacking Jaylen. However, The Shooter Boys make their way out to assist Brandyn and escort him safely to the back.
Paris Van Dale defeats Liviyah
Over the past month Liviyah has been quite the dominant force since making her debut. In this next match up, against Paris Van Dale, putting her away was not going to be an easy task. The two were evenly matched for the first several minutes, with the action spilling to the outside. Liviyah and Paris continue to brawl on the outskirts of the ring. Meanwhile, the referee continues to count. Paris sends her opponent into the ring post and quickly climbs her way back into the ring. The referee reaches a count of 10 resulting in a victory for Paris Van Dale, and Liviyah taking her first loss in Wrestling Open.
Brando Lee defeats Jariel Rivera
In the next match up we see Jariel Rivera take on Brando Lee. In this first-time match-up, we see Lee take quite the beating for a majority of the match. However, he prevails and rolls up Rivera in a cradle for the 3 count and the win.
Ichiban defeats DJ Powers
DJ Powers makes his way to the ring, followed by the crowd favorite Ichiban. With a springboard leg lariat Ichiban takes out Powers for the win.
Bryce Donovan defeats “Fancy” Ryan Clancy to become the new Wrestling Open Champion
Now it’s time for your Main Event of the evening. For the Wrestling Open Championship “Fancy” Ryan Clancy takes on Bryce Donovan. This was an action-packed match. With a ref bump, and several interferences through the match Bryce Donovan gets his hands on the Championship and heads to the ring. However, Bobby Orlando rushes the ring.
The two share a heated confrontation with Bobby snatching the belt. Bobby goes to attack Bryce with the title. Donovan ducks out of the way. Clancy was just in the wrong spot at the wrong time and takes a shot to the face from Bobby Orlando. Bryce then takes advantage and pins Ryan Clancy to become your new Wrestling Open Champion.
Next week Wrestling Open returns to the Rhodes on Pawtuxet for Season 1 Episode 6. We’ll find out who the next number one contender will be.
