The Yeet Movement was strong as Jey Uso finally reached the top of the mountain at Wrestlemania 41. So what happened, and why was he removed from the top of the mountain so quickly? Many fans sought answers after this past Monday Night on WWE Raw! After Jey Uso dropped the title to Gunther in the same fashion, he won just 51 days before.

Since the loss and his emotional address to the live crowd, wrestling fans have tried to understand why WWE chose to take the title off him. Did the WWE always plan his title reign to be short? Could injuries have played a factor in his dropping the title? Or did the WWE decide to change the course of Jey Uso?

It didn’t surprise many when Jey Uso took the title off of Gunther at WrestleMania 41. His battle to get to the title and overcoming adversity with Gunther was a feel-good story. One the fans were looking forward to culminating with a payoff at “The Show Of Shows.”

What was the long-term plan for Jey Uso?

Did the WWE ever plan for Jey Uso to have a long title run? Or was the plan always to let him have his moment but ultimately put the title back on Gunther to pick up his reign where it left off? Remember, the WWE has done this before with Uso.

Jey Uso was riding a wave of momentum in September last year when he won his first singles title on September 23rd—taking the Intercontinental title from champion Bron Breakker, only to drop it back to Breakker a month later.

Could injuries have played a factor?

Injuries could also have contributed to the title loss this past Monday. There have been reports that Uso has been wrestling with potential injuries during his title reign. If any of those reports are true, he may need some time off to heal and recover.

Tommy Carlucci, a former 30-year-plus veteran of the company, offered his possible reasoning behind Uso’s loss on The Last Word from Jonathan Coachman’s Behind The Turnbuckle Studios. Carlucci wondered if injuries may have forced Uso onto the shelf for a while.

Carlucci said, “I actually like Gunther right now. I think Jey’s probably taking a little time off with these injuries, so-called injuries that he’s had. So, maybe he’s going to do that. We’ll see.” That would be a plausible reason why WWE abruptly took the title off Uso.

Did the WWE decide to go a different route?

This scenario appears to be the most likely, as reports recently surfaced in the past 24 hours of Jey Uso reuniting with his brother Jimmy to re-form The Usos again! Could we be close to seeing the most dominant tag team that ruled the WWE for many years back together again?

Cory Hays of PWN reported, “There were rumblings that WWE was looking to pair The Usos back together sometime this year and with Jey dropping the World Heavyweight Championship it’s looking like that could be the direction. The question is how does WWE get them back together in a story on TV.

Whatever the reasons, they will surely come out soon. Until they do, the WWE Universe and all wrestling fans are still left battling the question: Why?
