On Saturday, April 19th, NXT held its big event to kick off the WrestleMania weekend, “Stand & Deliver.” Stand & Deliver has become a staple of WrestleMania weekend, kicking off the festivities on WrestleMania Saturday. This year’s event was no different as Oba Femi defended his NXT Championship against Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams in a match of the year contender in the main event.

We also saw Fraxiom put their NXT Tag Team Championships on the line against Hank & Tank, Stephanie Vaquer put her NXT Women’s Championship on the line against Jordynne Grace, Jaida Parker, and Giulia, a new NXT Women’s North American Champion crowned, Ricky Saints defend his NXT North American Championship against Ethan Page, and so much more. So, what were the top three moments of the show?

3. Sol Ruca Wins The NXT Women’s North American Championship

In one of the show’s big match-ups, we saw Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Thea Hail, Zaria, Izzi Dame, and Kelani Jordan do battle to crown the new NXT Women’s North American Champion in a massive ladder match. This all came about after Stephanie Vaquer was forced to vacate the belt to fill her duty as the NXT Women’s Champion, leaving the NXT Women’s North American Championship both literally and figuratively up in the air.

All six women showed out in this match. They gave their all in hopes of winning the vacant NXT Women’s North American Championship and putting themselves on the map in the NXT women’s division. The match itself had many great spots, including Sol Ruca hitting a Sol Snatcher from the top of the ladder, and Izzi Dame hitting her finisher off the top of the ladder.

Ultimately, however, Sol was the one to put her name in the history books, as she climbed the ladder to become the new NXT Women’s North American Champion. Ruca is a great choice to lead the mid-card of the NXT women’s division, and she has the fans in the palm of her hands. It remains to be seen exactly how this may affect Zaria and Sol’s friendship and partnership as things did come to blows between them on the top of the ladder.

2. The Underboss Turns On The Don

Things finally broke down between two of the biggest factions in NXT, The Family and Dark State. After weeks of wanting to get their hands on each other, they had the opportunity to do just that, as Tony D’Angelo teamed up with Stacks and Luca Crusifino to take on Dion Lennox, Shaquan Shugars, and Osiris Griffin. Adriana Rizzo and Cutler James were at ringside supporting on their respective groups.

While it was teased multiple times during the match, everything seemed to be right between Stacks and the Don, Tony D’Angelo. However, things finally broke down at the end of the match when Stacks low-blowed D’Angelo from behind. This allowed Dark State to pick up the pieces and pick up the victory for the newest faction in NXT.

It remains to be seen what happens with the D’Angelo Family from here. With Stacks officially turning on D’Angelo, is there another underboss waiting in the wings for the don? More specifically who could fill the shoes left by Stacks? One thing we know for sure is that D’Angelo could be out for revenge on his former associate. Maybe a match at Battleground could be in the works to settle things.

1. Hank & Tank Win the NXT Tag Team Championships

In one of the show’s biggest matches, Fraxiom, Nathan Frazer & Axiom put their NXT Tag Team Championships on the line against the unlikely team of Hank & Tank. Hank Walker & Tank Ledger ran a gauntlet to earn the right to call themselves the number one contenders for the NXT Tag Team Championships. After beating the likes of the No Quarter Catch Crew, The Culling, and others, Hank & Tank actually got the win to challenge the top tag team in all of professional wrestling today.

Wouldn’t you know it, it worked out for them. The match itself could have been the match of the night, and it’s not particularly close. Hank & Tank arguably wrestled their best match, and they had to if they hoped to knock off the seemingly unstoppable champions. Ultimately, Hank & Tank did just that, pinning Frazer to win the match.

Hank & Tank are now the NXT Tag Team Champions. This might come as a surprise, as mere weeks ago, they seemed to be at their lowest point. However, the two men were seemingly able to put it all together and did the unthinkable. This was the best match of the show, and the biggest moment of the show. Now the only question that is left to be answered is, where does Fraxiom go from here? Main roster call-up? Break up?
