In January of 2024, Nic Nemeth officially debuted for TNA Wrestling. Nemeth wasted little time jumping on the biggest dog that TNA has, the TNA World Champion at the time, Moose. The move to TNA for Nemeth following his WWE release has been a fantastic first step of getting him back on the map in the ever-changing world of professional wrestling. Now being in TNA for over a year, this run, minus the injury, has gone exactly how fans have hoped it would.

Nemeth went on to feud with another of TNA Wrestling’s top performers, Steve Maclin. Following his debut program with Maclin, Nemeth inserted himself into the TNA World Championship picture where he would ultimately capture the TNA World Championship from the man he debuted against, Moose. It’s no secret how great Nemeth is in the ring and on the microphone, but he has gotten the chance to show he’s someone who you can build a brand around with his run in TNA. It’s fair to say that this TNA run has revitalized his career.

Nic Nemeth’s TNA Run Has Revitalized His Career

Nic Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler in WWE, was revealed to be the huge mystery signing for TNA when he first debuted there a little over a year ago. This is a much bigger deal than people realize. When his music hit, the heels turned to face the entranceway, meanwhile, Nemeth would show up in the ring behind Moose and land a superkick, followed by a zig-zag on him. Nemeth then escaped into the crowd with the fans chanting “HOLY SH*T!”

Nemeth is the perfect guy to build around, and his run in TNA so far has revitalized his career. His signing with TNA Wrestling is an absolutely massive deal. He has all the potential in the world to be a major player in TNA for years to come. It can certainly be argued that he wasn’t booked to his potential in WWE, only given one championship reign.

Unlike most fans on the internet today, I’m not one to cry “bad booking” anytime someone I like doesn’t get booked well. However, in this one instance, it’s a fact. Nemeth’s wrestling skills are unmatched wherever he may go. His ability to sell and make his opponent look good is very underrated, and underappreciated, in today’s wrestling style.

In a time where we see Canadian destroyers used similarly to a regular punch, selling is not as big of a deal as it used to be. This is where Nemeth truly excels. He has the ability to be booked as the “ultimate underdog.” Nemeth is seemingly heading into a 4-on-1 situation with “The System,” and this is where he can, and will, excel.

What’s even more interesting about Nemeth is now we’re getting a chance to see him on the opposite side of that. Nemeth is a fantastic babyface, but lately, he’s been used as a heel. Spoiler alert, it’s delivering. Nemeth turned heel when he annihilated Matt Hardy after Sacrifice in March. We are currently entering a “Battle of the Brothers” with Matt and Jeff Hardy scheduled to battle Nic and Ryan Nemeth very soon.

Wherever Nemeth went, you knew the company would be getting a massive star. Nemeth has shown every time he entered the ring whether it be WWE or elsewhere he is someone you can build around. TNA landing Nic Nemeth is a massive deal that continues to show that the future of TNA Wrestling is bright. Nemeth has truly revitalized his career in TNA, and it’s been a fantastic sight to see.
