WWE ID Talent Bryce Donovan has another accomplishment to add to his list: he is now the new Wrestling Open Champion! In a wild main event at Wrestling Open RI on Monday, April 28, 2025, Donovan stood tall against former Wrestling Open Champion “Fancy” Ryan Clancy.

Of course, the win came with the help of Vinny Scalice and Mark Sterling, who was in Donovan’s corner. The Shooter Boys came out to help even up things for Clancy. But Donovan’s former tag partner, Bobby Orlando, inadvertently hit the final blow.

In the match’s closing moments, with the ref knocked down on the canvas, Orlando came down to try to prevent Donovan from using the championship belt on Clancy. Orlando grabbed the belt to hit Donovan, who ducked, hitting the former champion in the head.

Scalice grabbed Orlando’s leg from outside the ring and pulled him out. He held him as Donovan hit a big Choke Slam and picked up the pinfall!

Wrestling Open returns to Electric Haze this Thursday in Worcester, Massachusetts. What will the ramifications be with this title win? What will the fallout cause? One thing is for sure: you don’t want to miss a second of the action!
